Alison Ruhter, Lifestyle Director: Maximizing Waterfront and Helping Residents Discover What They’re Wild About

Wildridge has so much to offer our residents, from beautiful views of Lake Lewisville, acres of trails, amazing amenities, and some of the friendliest neighbors in the area! Wildridge’s lifestyle program provides several unique events per week, for all ages, as a way to bring the community together. Some of my favorite examples of events include:

  • Holiday-themed gatherings such as Easter egg hunts, Halloween parties, Cinco de Mayo festivities, and photos with Santa.
  • “Bark and Brunch,” features a food bar for owners and a bone bar and treats for pups. This brings together our many dog owners by forging human and pet friendships!
  • After school club occurs monthly on our outdoor pavilion with crafts, activities and snacks to help younger students unwind and relax after school.
  • Karaoke and line dancing nights are always a lot of fun for new and seasoned adult neighbors!

Research shows that “people who live near water have better mental health than those who don’t,” and at Wildridge, we maximize the benefits of the easy access to Lake Lewisville that our residents enjoy by making the lake an extension of the community.

From stand-up paddle boarding to floating yoga, to kayaking and canoeing, to lakeside strolls, our residents truly soak in the benefits of living in close proximity to the water. We also program several events to utilize the gorgeous lakefront shore, including “Move Night at The Point” and picnics by the pond for our Tiny Tots play group. I love watching residents interact and seeing neighbors turn into lifelong friends by bringing the community together. I am thrilled to encourage our Wildridge neighbors to discover what they are wild about through our lifestyle program!
