Ashlar Development Expands Wildridge Community with a 122-Acre Acquisition

The largest commercial development within the City of Oak Point includes four acres for the city’s new civic area
DALLAS (October 4, 2022) – Ashlar Development, an acclaimed master-planned developer, today announced the addition of 122 acres to Wildridge, their award-winning community in Oak Point, north of Dallas.
Located along FM 720 at Shahan Prairie Road, east of the current community, the acquisition will add 525 new homes including townhomes and single-family homes to the Wildridge masterplan. It will also deliver 25 acres of new commercial, retail and civic opportunities to the community. The retail spaces are planned for neighborhood services and will be the largest commercial center in Oak Point, meeting the growing demand for retail in the area.
“With construction anticipated to begin in summer 2023, this significant expansion of Wildridge will bring new home types and valued retail services to the community,” said President Steve Yetts, Ashlar Development. “Additionally, the plan includes a new four-acre civic center for the City of Oak Point, which we are proud to have within the Wildridge community.”
